Composition: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon

History: The Mascot started from the beginning as an experiment, after convincing the family and team of winemakers to save a few barrels of wine, produced from our youngest vines, to explore a blend of their own. In the early years, before it had a label or a name, it was just a wine shared with friends and family. It wasn’t until the 2008 vintage, our first official release, that we had enough to share with new friends. 

Tasting Notes:

Deep and concentrated in the glass, with a ruby core. Aromatically explosive, with blue and red fruit, morning violets, stargazer lilies, and espresso beans. The palate is muscular and seductive, with inviting blackberry and mulberry layers carried on a mountain of well-integrated tannins that deliver a lengthy finish. A majestically orchestrated Cabernet from top-flight vineyard sources.
