Composition: Treixadura 90%, Godello 5%, Albariño 5%

History: We are a winery that produces Quality White and Red Wines within the Ribeiro Designation of Origin in the province of Ourense. In the Casal de Armán vineyards only native varieties are grown: such as treixadura, godello, albariño and loureira. The winery’s vineyards are all located in historic areas of the Ribeiro del Avia (a tributary of the Miño River), planted on terraces located on the slopes of the river. Plantation heights range between 200 and 350 meters above sea level. The soils of the estates are preferably of granite origin (sand) with some clay (sábrego), although there are also plantations on slate soils that give the wines a special character. The González Vázquez family bought the property and began a project to restore an old 18th century manor house that was in ruins. After eight years of hard work, today it is home to a rural hotel, a Galician restaurant and its winery. 

Tasting notes:

Good structure and fatty character, with aromas of nectarine, fennel and white flowers, and a persistent and elegantly bitter finish.
