Composition: 50% Grenache, 25% Cariñena, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Syrah

Vineyard: This bottling comprises three vineyards, all within the town of Bellmunt del Priorat. The wine was made with approximately 50% Grenache, 25% Cariñena, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Syrah. Yields on these very steep slopes, where the only thing visible on the ground is slate (known locally as licorella), are typically less than 1 tonne per cord.

Tasting Notes:

2018 was a slightly warm vintage for the area, so the grapes had enough time to develop evenly on the vines. The three vineyards carried a moderate load that could ripen completely and served to create tiny but concentrated berries. The resulting wine gives off aromas and flavors of ripe black fruits and black plums, complemented with a touch of dried herbs and a long, persistent finish.
