History: JaM Cellars was founded in Napa Valley by John Anthony Truchard and Michele Truchard with the goal of creating approachable, fruit-forward wines meant for everyday enjoyment. The brand quickly gained popularity for its easygoing style and bold flavors, standing apart from more traditional Napa wines.

Their breakout success came with Butter Chardonnay, a rich, creamy wine that highlights the classic buttery texture from malolactic fermentation. Launched in the 2010s, it became a flagship product and helped define the modern “buttery wine” trend, making JaM Cellars a widely recognized name across the U.S.

Tasting Notes:

Butter Pinot Noir is juicy, lush and very-berry bright. Made in the tradition of great-quality Californian winemaking, the grapes are gently cold-soaked prior to fermentation to preserve vivid, red-fruit aromas of ripe strawberry and Bing cherry. Aging on French oak builds subtle depth adding vanilla spice with a lovely, velvety finish. Silky-soft and so easy to sip!
