History: The Castello di Volpaia is located in an 11th century town that bears the same name. It stands on a hill just north of the Chianti town of Radda, 2,024 feet above sea level, in the heart of the Chianti Classico region. One of the most historic wineries in the region, Volpaia is owned by the Mascheroni-Stianti family and benefits from some of the highest altitude vineyards in the area, delivering certified organic Sangiovese-based wines of finesse and elegance with a focus on terroir.

Tasting Notes:

The Chianti Classico Riserva has a ruby ​​red hue with a hint of garnet. The nose is elegant, showing spicy and fruity notes. It is a well-structured wine, with soft tannins and a long finish.
