History: Château Calon Ségur, symbolized by the heart on its label, was beloved by its first owner, the Marquis de Ségur, who famously said, “I make wine at Lafite and Latour, but my heart is at Calon.” Established in the Gallo-Roman era and ranked as a Third Growth estate in the 1855 Classification, it is one of the oldest estates in Saint-Estèphe. Today, under the guidance of Vincent Millet, the estate produces wines with finesse and intensity, continuing the Marquis’ legacy of passion and excellence in winemaking.

Tasting Notes: 

Presents a heavenly bouquet of red and black currants, truffly earth, iron, espresso, and tobacco leaf. Full-bodied with incredible purity of fruit and ultra-fine tannins, it offers concentrated black cherry and damson fruits, supple tannins, and notes of crème de cassis and incense. This deep, layered wine requires at least 7-8 years of bottle age and is expected to age gracefully for 40-50 years.
