History: The Château de Sancerre is a picturesque hilltop estate in the Loire Valley of France, known for producing some of the world’s finest Sauvignon Blanc wines. The Sancerre region is renowned for its crisp, citrusy white wines, dominated by zesty grapefruit and green apple fruit flavors, with balancing acidity and a subtle herbaceous note. Château de Sancerre’s winemaking philosophy is one of tradition and excellence, focusing on minimal intervention to allow the true expression of the terroir to shine through.

Tasting Notes:

The nose is quite complex, with aromas of lily, quince, and a hint of vanilla that gives way to notes of nougat. The palate is very demonstrative, with magnificent acidity giving way to aromas of pear, apricot, and raisin. There is a beautiful harmony between the freshness of the grape variety and the aging in oak barrels.
