History: Château Duhart-Milon, previously known as Duhart-Milon-Rothschild, is a wine estate in the Pauillac appellation of the Médoc, just north of Bordeaux city. The estate was ranked as a fourth growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification and is owned by its illustrious neighbor, Lafite Rothschild. The estate shares its vineyard management and winemaking teams. The grand vin (the eponymous flagship wine) is known for its elegance, combined with Paulliac’s typical power.

Tasting Notes:

Beautiful, intense color with glints of black and violet. The still reserved nose reveals excellent aromatic potential, gradually developing with bottle aging. Ripe, fresh fruit aromas dominate, with notes of blackcurrant and menthol. The wine presents terrific freshness on the palate accompanied by plenty of volume. Well-defined, sound tannins maintain their elegance as they gradually fill the mouth. We are in Pauillac. The finish, with marked notes of graphite, is very characteristic of the terroir. It is remarkably long, lingering on the plate almost endlessly.
