History: Château d’Yquem is a world-renowned, elite sweet wine producer in Sauternes, Bordeaux, famously classified as the only Premier Cru Supérieur in 1855. Known for its exceptional longevity (often 100+ years), it is produced from botrytized Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes, resulting in high-concentration notes of apricot, honey, and caramel. 

Situated on the highest hill in Sauternes, the 113-hectare estate (approx. 100 hectares in production) benefits from unique soil, combining gravel, sand, and clay, which, along with the Ciron River’s mist, creates ideal conditions for noble rot.

Tasting Notes:

The wine opens with aromas of apricot, candied citrus peel, honeycomb, and vanilla. On the palate, it reveals layered textures of stone fruit, toasted almond, and subtle spice, lifted by vibrant acidity. The finish is expansive and refined, maintaining clarity and tension despite its depth and sweetness.
