History: The trading company we know today as Croft was founded in 1588, during the reign of Elizabeth I, by Henry Thompson of York, England. Today Croft is part of the Fladgate Partnership, three of Porto’s most historic and prestigious houses, including Taylor Fladgate, Fonseca and Croft, a family-owned business that sets the standard to which other Port houses aspire.

Tasting Notes:

With an attractive tawny color and amber rims, this wine displays full and complex aromas of mild spices along with nuts, caramel, and fine oak notes on a background of rich, candied fruit. On the palate, the wine is silky and round, full of flavors of ripe figs.
