Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: More classic and restrained. Aromas of blackberry preserves, warm cassis, and black raspberries, with savory hints of clove oil, pencil lead, and charcoal.
  • Palate: Rich and velvety. It is noted for being more “pliant and expressive” than usual, lacking the hard edges of hotter vintages. It features muscular black fruit and “grainy” tannins that provide structure without being overly aggressive.
