History: Domaine Drouhin-Laroze is a producer in the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy that specializes in producing wines made from Pinot Noir. The domaine has its origins in vineyards in Gevrey-Chambertin purchased in 1850 by Jean-Baptiste Laroze. Eventually Alexandre Drouhin took over the estate, bringing his family vines from Chambolle-Musigny and incorporating them under Domaine Drouhin-Laroze. Today the family owns 11.5 hectares (28.5 acres) of vines spread throughout Burgundy and is run by the fifth and sixth generation of the family.

Tasting Notes:

 Dark ruby color. Nose full of plum and black berries. Strong fruity taste on the palate. Very delicate acidity and tannins low and smooth. Perfectly balanced. Long finish with vanille and also some minerality and hints of pepper. Exellent zenith for an evening of a lot of good wines
