Composition: 100% Pinot Noir

History: Domaine Drouhin-Laroze is a producer in the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy that specializes in producing wines made from Pinot Noir. The domaine has its origins in vineyards in Gevrey-Chambertin purchased in 1850 by Jean-Baptiste Laroze. Eventually Alexandre Drouhin took over the estate, bringing his family vines from Chambolle-Musigny and incorporating them under Domaine Drouhin-Laroze. Today the family owns 11.5 hectares (28.5 acres) of vines spread throughout Burgundy and is run by the fifth and sixth generation of the family.

Tasting Notes: This is deep, purple-ruby, with vibrant, bright fruitiness and a substantial bounce in mid-palate. The wine is rich and lively, the fruitiness impressive, the tannins gentle and fresh.
