Composition: 100% Pinot Noir

History: Domaine Drouhin-Laroze is a producer in the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy that specializes in Pinot Noir wines. The domain originated in vineyards in Gevrey-Chambertin, purchased in 1850 by Jean-Baptiste Laroze. Eventually, Alexandre Drouhin took over the estate, bringing his family vines from Chambolle-Musigny and incorporating them under Domaine Drouhin-Laroze. Today, the family owns 11.5 hectares (28.5 acres) of vines spread throughout Burgundy and is run by the fifth and sixth generations.

Tasting Notes:

This is deep, purple-ruby, with freshly open, clean fruitiness on the nose. The palate gives an intensely fruity, chewy impression, lively and fresh.
