History: The Priorat region in Catalonia, Spain, is a rugged agricultural area known for its ancient slate soils and Mediterranean climate, conditions that create ideal environments for distinctive wines. In 2001, the Denomination of Origin Montsant was established, bringing together vineyards around the town of Falset and quickly gaining international recognition for its quality wines. In 2008, winemaker Salvi Moliner and sommelier Sergi Montalà founded Estones Vins with the goal of crafting wines that express the character of Montsant using traditional varieties such as Garnacha and Cariñena. Their wines emphasize balance, fruit expression, and the unique terroir of the region.

Tasting Notes:

Deep in color, cherry-red with garnet hues and stained tears. Complex on the nose, it requires good aeration to reveal its full potential, highlighting ripe fruit with pronounced notes of strawberry, blackberry, and plum, lightly spiced and balsamic, with a background of licorice. Marked mineral notes. Soft on the attack with a slow evolution on the palate, featuring fresh, well-balanced acidity. The fruity character and aging notes blend subtly. Ripe, luscious, and fleshy tannins. The finish is long and persistent, where the minerality stands out with great elegance.
