History: Now, with Fourth Leaf, the two branches of the Mondavi family are once again making wine together. Angelina Mondavi and Rob Mondavi Jr. are the eldest grandchildren of Peter Sr. and Robert, respectively. They both grew up in Napa Valley and returned after college to pursue careers in the wine business. They were virtually strangers, due in part to an 11-year age difference, but also because their families rarely spent time together. However, when the opportunity to collaborate presented itself, the cousins ​​were quick to recognize their soul mates and shared ambition. Together, Rob and Angelina go beyond the prevailing style to produce a balanced and elegant wine that embodies the spirit and ardor of Mondavi’s original vision.

Tasting Notes:

Elegant and full-bodied, it presents a bouquet and palate of red and black fruits, black currants and cassis. The vibrant fruity tones are accompanied by notes of semi-dark chocolate, vanilla, nutmeg and green tea spices. Leathery aromas and subtle powdery soil complement the palate of freshly picked blueberries, blackberries, cherries, and red raspberries.
