History: Gian Luca Colombo broke into the Piedmont wine scene as a prolific consultant and researcher, earning the title of Italy’s best young winemaker at the 2014 Giulio Gambelli Awards. In 2011, he established his own winery as a boutique “garagiste” operation in Roddi without the advantage of inherited family lands. Over the years, Colombo gradually expanded his estate into a strictly biodynamic farm, eventually transitioning from his original “Segni di Langa” label to putting his own name on the bottles in 2017.

Tasting Notes:

The nose offers an airy, high-toned bouquet of red cherries, wild strawberries, and dried rosebuds layered with sweet tobacco and licorice, while the palate delivers weightless energy, vibrant acidity, and silky, fine-grained tannins that culminate in a long, savory, and balsamic finish.
