Region: Rioja, Spain

Composition: Tempranillo 70%, Graciano 20% Maturana Tinta 10%.

History: Dionisio Ruiz planted his first vine in 1975 on an old gravel pit that reproduced the natural conditions in which vines grow in La Rioja. And so began a pioneering path. Viña Ijalba, founded in 1991, produces quality organic wines using traditional Rioja techniques, and even now, in its third generation, respecting its commitment to the environment. Viña Ijalba currently has more than 90 hectares of its own vineyards around Logroño, San Vicente de la Sonsierra and Iregua Valley.

Tasting Notes:

Aromas of ripe fruit and hints of toasted oak. The palate is tasty, with tannins, ripe fruit and very spicy.
