History: 

Dionisio Ruiz planted his first vine in 1975 on an old gravel pit that reproduced the natural conditions in which vines grow in La Rioja. And so began a pioneering path. Viña Ijalba, founded in 1991, produces quality organic wines using traditional Rioja techniques, and even now, in its third generation, respecting its commitment to the environment. Viña Ijalba currently has more than 90 hectares of its own vineyards around Logroño, San Vicente de la Sonsierra and Iregua Valley.

Tasting Notes:

Cherry red, high intensity and bright. Intense and complex nose of stewed red fruits, light toasted notes, with a background of aromatic herbs and dark chocolate. Well structured with a long and harmonious aftertaste.
