History: The Houyi vineyard is aptly named after a mythical archer, apropos to the precision and strength of the wine from this incredible site. Situated on top of Pritchard Hill at 1300 ft elevation, Houyi has a picturesque south-west facing view of San Francisco Bay. This mountain vineyard, with its exposed sun-roasted slope, creates ripe Cabernets with maximum flavor, yet surprising elegance and purity.

Tasting Notes:

All at once an astonishingly powerful wine, yet with great finesse and focus. The Houyi Cabernet Sauvignon features silky and exuberant dark berry fruit that evokes memories of crème de cassis and blackberry liqueur. Torrefaction notes of a fine crema-topped espresso. Jasmine tea, hawthorn and lilac floral tones weave into earthy, umami notes of nori and terracotta minerality.
