History: In 1987, Gonzalo Antón, together with a group of friends and businessmen from nearby Vitoria, started an innovative project in the deepest Rioja Alavesa. The town of Villabuena de Alava, where his family already grew grapes, was chosen as the location for the innovative winery that would focus on making fine wines. Gonzalo’s knowledge of hotels and restaurants soon made Izadi one of the most appreciated wines in gastronomic circles. At the same time, the introduction of new winemaking techniques and continuous improvements in quality set the style of the house over time.  Izadi’s Crianza represents the typicity of the triangle where its grapes come from, combining concentration, balance, personality and a well-defined style.

Tasting Notes:

Ruby color with a medium layer and unctuous tears. High aromatic intensity well balanced in shades of red fruits, licorice and spices combined with light smoky touches. In the mouth it is balanced with a long aftertaste with fruity and floral hints.
