History: In 1987, Gonzalo Antón, together with a group of friends and businessmen from nearby Vitoria, started an innovative project in the deeper Rioja Alavesa. The town of Villabuena de Alava, where his family had already been growing grapes, was chosen as the location for the innovative winery, which focuses on producing fine wines. Gonzalo’s knowledge of hotels and restaurants soon made Izadi one of the most appreciated wines in gastronomic circles. At the same time, introducing new winemaking techniques and implementing continuous quality improvements established the house style over time.

Tasting Notes:

Straw yellow with grayish undertones. Remarkable aromatic complexity with notes of chamomile, ripe pineapple, white truffle, almonds, and white pepper. On the palate, the wine is unctuous and highly fragrant, with notes of spices, toasted almonds, and ripe white fruit; its lively acidity provides balance and a timeless finish.
