Composition: 60% Viura, 10% Garnacha Blanca, 10% Maturana Blanca, 10% Tempranillo Blanco, 5% Malvasía and 5% Turruntés.

History: In 1987, Gonzalo Antón, together with a group of friends and businessmen from nearby Vitoria, started an innovative project in the deeper Rioja Alavesa. The town of Villabuena de Alava, where his family had already grown grapes, was chosen as the location for the innovative winery focusing on making fine wines. Gonzalo’s knowledge of hotels and restaurants soon made Izadi one of the most appreciated wines in gastronomic circles. At the same time, introducing new winemaking techniques and continuous improvements in quality set the house style over time.

Tasting Notes:

Strain lemon yellow with greenish tones. Intense aromas of white fruit, citrus, tropical fruit and floral notes, with a background of toasted and spicy aroma. On the palate it is a highly textured, refreshing and tasty wine, with citrus and white fruit notes with a refreshing finish and hints of white flowers and light toast.
