Jacob’s Pardon Small Batch Whiskey #1 – 750ml

$95.00

Out of stock

Region: Kentucky, USA

Composition: The majority (86%) comes from 15-year-old light corn whiskey casks, with 99% corn and 1% malted barley. The remainder (14%) is an 8-year-old Tennessee sour mash with a blend of 70% corn, 22% rye and 8% barley.

History: Brothers. Smugglers. legends. Nearly a century ago, Jacob and Abner Taub made and smuggled their own whiskey during Prohibition to support their family. Then, one fateful winter night in 1929, their world came crashing down during a sting that would land the brothers behind bars. Six long years later, Franklin D. Roosevelt pardoned the Taub brothers. They were able to revive their family business with their brother Martin and helped launch Baltimore Club Whiskey. This would set in motion a family tradition that would span generations. The brothers served their time, and now, you can spend some time enjoying Jacobs Pardon, a fine American whiskey that pays homage to their rebellious roots. It’s complex, smooth, timeless, and frankly, a little bit liberating. It would be a crime not to enjoy it.

Tasting Notes:

Intense gold, amber color with impeccable clarity. Rich aromas of sweet corn with butter, brown sugar and espresso. Spicy profile deep in flavors of spiced baked ham, vanilla bean and cinnamon buns. Long, pleasant and sweet finish with hints of biscuit, wood and grain.
