History: Kelly Fleming Winery is located in the northern part of the Napa Valley, nestled in the narrow Simmons Canyon against the steep slopes of the Vaca Range. From this part of Napa Valley one hardly knows they are in the Napa area. Steep hillsides, narrow, isolated canyons, and forested hillsides form the backdrop to Kelly Fleming’s nearly 12 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon planted on the hillsides. This is the main country for Cabernet Sauvignon and close neighbors include Eisele Vineyard and Hundred Acre.

Tasting Notes:

The 2018 Sauvignon Blanc is fresh, floral and vibrant with crisp mineral acidity. The nose features a variety of aromas: lime zest, ripe stone fruit, jasmine blossom, and subtle toasty oak spices. The abundant flavors of mandarin, white peach and sweet melon, come together with a subtle brackish note that adds character and complexity to the wine. On the palate it is smooth and enveloping on entry, but it has a minerality of wet stone that provides tension and length to the citric profile of this wine.
