Composition: 100% Riesling

History: The Kiona Estate Vineyard pioneered what would later become the Red Mountain AVA in 1975 by planting Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Riesling. That original planting was followed by Merlot, Lemberger and Chenin Blanc in 1976. Today the vineyard has 61.6 acres of vines.

Tasting Notes:

Aromas of honey and apricot give rise to floral and honeysuckle notes that combine well with filling in the mouth, well-balanced varietal fruit flavors that linger on the palate. It is elegant and exciting at the same time with plenty of acidity to balance out the abundant sweetness.
