History: Kiona Vineyards is a small estate winery owned and operated by the John Williams family. Kiona pioneered the Red Mountain viticultural area near the Tri-Cities which takes advantage of a unique microclimate that combines the fruitiness of the Yakima Valley with the richness of the Columbia Basin. This vineyard produces wines of outstanding character sold in select markets throughout the world.

Tasting Notes:

The aromas seem slightly dried out, with notes of dried black raspberry, cigar box, herb, fruit leather, vanilla and barrel spice. The flavors are lightly jammy but at the same time the concentration doesn’t all seem to be there. The tannins give a gentle squeeze
