History: The Lassegue winery in Saint-Emilion is the result of the passion of two couples and their families: Jess Jackson and his wife Barbara Banke, California visionaries in the world of wine, and Pierre Seillan and his wife Monique from Bordeaux. The ornate sundials that adorn the façade of the beautiful 17th-century castle of Lasségue are the symbol of the extraordinary solar exposure of our vineyard and the theme of our label. Lasségue’s second label, Cadrans de Lassegue, was released in 2008.

Tasting Notes:

On the nose it presents black cherry, blueberry, spices and violet, expressing a silky Merlot character. Rich and round on the palate, with a hint of well-integrated oak and fine-grained tannins, the wine is polished and lush with fresh acidity. A Saint-Emilion in perfect balance, to drink now and in the next 10 years.
