History: The Lassegue winery in Saint-Emilion is the result of the passion of two couples and their families: Jess Jackson and his wife Barbara Banke, California visionaries in the world of wine, and Pierre Seillan and his wife Monique from Bordeaux. The ornate sundials that adorn the façade of the beautiful 17th-century castle of Lasségue are the symbol of the extraordinary solar exposure of our vineyard and the theme of our label. Lasségue’s second label, Cadrans de Lassegue, was released in 2008.

Tasting Notes:

Shows deep and brilliant coloring. The nose showcases black cherry, cranberry, spice and violet, expressing a silky Merlot character. Rich and round on the palate, with a touch of well-integrated oak and fine-grained tannins, the wine is polished and exuberant. Fresh acidity on the finish reflects the total harmony of the Cabernet Franc. A Saint-Emilion in perfect equilibrium, to drink now and over the next 10 years.
