History: Located at the northern tip of Napa Valley, Maldonado Family Vineyards is a small, family-owned winery with Mexican-American roots. Owner and winemaker Hugo Maldonado has a background in vineyard management, having worked with his father, Lupe Maldonado, and gained knowledge at Newton Vineyards. The winery is housed in a cave that faces south toward the Palisade Mountain range in Calistoga. Despite its modest size, it produces about 6000 cases annually, sold under the Maldonado Label and a second label called Farm Worker.
