The ancient Drumlane Abbey in County Cavan, Ireland served as a place of refuge for almost a thousand years until it was destroyed by the forces of Oliver Cromwell. Here the great patriot Owen Roe O’Neill sought solace until he too breathed his last, also at the hands of Cromwell in 1649. 

Tasting Notes:

An uplifting nose is filled with aromas of strawberry, cocoa powder and spices. On the palate it is very soft and textured with notes of dried fruit and subtle hints of oak and vanilla. Nutty notes linger with hints of baking spices, velvety mouthfeel and firm tannins.
