Composition: 97% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc, 1% Merlot

History: Growing up in rural Yakima, Washington, Kyle MacLachlan’s days were filled with picking apples, canning peaches, and fishing the Yakima and Naches Rivers. His father kept up a lush sprawling garden while his mother encouraged Kyle to pursue his budding interest in acting. As a college theater student at the University of Washington, Kyle reveled in his holiday commutes between college and home, cruising his ’67 Mustang past snow-peaked mountains and across high golden plateaus. He loved the landscape of his Washington home, and he longed to create something lasting and meaningful that would honor this special place.

Tasting Notes:

The 2019 Pursued by Bear Cabernet Sauvignon marks the 15th vintage of our flagship Cab. Dark berry aromas and flavors, along with undertones of plum and cassis, complement the wine’s elegant structure, impeccable balance, and fine tannins. A small amount of Cabernet Franc, a new addition to the blend, contributes refined notes of coffee and tapenade, and a touch of Merlot adds a hint of sweet cherry.
