History: The Esporão project began in the Alentejo from an irrepressible desire to make the finest wines. This is the basis of everything Esporão does and something they extend to other products and regions. Everywhere, nature inspires them, thus earning their respect and will to protect it, building a more promising future. They believe companies should serve society and not vice versa by aiming to operate responsibly. This responsibility is neither abstract nor merely collective: it is individual, including everyone involved with Esporão. They encourage non-conformity, change, and creativity, seeking to do better but not necessarily more. They learned that progress depends on the knowledge they develop and apply, believing in what they do, and putting their heart and soul into their wines.

Tasting Notes:

Complex, fresh and elegant aromas with black fruits and balsamic aromas reminiscent of rockrose, and the spice notes typical of barrel aging. Firm and concentrated palate, with marked and well-balanced acidity and ripe and enveloping tannins.  The finish is long and persistent with fruity notes and outstanding balance and elegance.
