Composition: 100% Grenache

History: The Grenache in our previous vintages was borne from the Madder Lake Vineyard. After the site experienced significant smoke damage in 2018, we were fortunate to have the opportunity to purchase fruit from the historic Rossi Ranch for this vintage. This vineyard site was planted in 1910 by Carlo Rossi whose family managed the farm for more than 80 years. The site’s sweeping vistas extend across Sonoma Mountain and Bennett Valley. With old vines and soil laced with light volcanic ash and obsidian, this organically-farmed vineyard creates an ideal Grenache growing environment.

Tasting Notes:

Striking aromas of rose petal, rhubarb and dark fruits all benefit greatly with a little time in your glass. Complex layers of tannin and medium body all integrate seamlessly while allowing the depth of flavors to all complement one another once being opened.
