It starts in the vineyards he works with, special sites within Napa Valley of distinguished provenance, which are meticulously farmed by hand. It also encompasses the details of winemaking in the cellar and all the touchpoints one needs to make to create a premium bottle of wine.

Tasting Notes:

Optimally ripe and full of classic Oakville fruit and spice from the opening sniff, this terrific Cabernet offers luxurious aromas of creme de cassis, blackberry, black currant, pomegranate syrup, licorice root, sweet tobacco, graphite, toasted cedar, and nutmeg. On the palate, it proves as tongue-coating, plush in fruit and rich in oaky goodness as the aromas promise, and delivers deeply-etched flavors of dark sour cherry, black raspberry, cassis, tobacco, licorice root, dried herbs supported by the expected Oakville mineral stamp. Flavor and richness flood the mouth to linger above a richly tannic undercurrent.
