History: Domaine Ponsot is a family-owned wine producer in Burgundy. It is known for its red and white wines made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, but is also well-known for the Morey-Saint-Denis Premier Cru Clos des Monts Luisants, the only 100-percent Aligoté premier cru wine in Burgundy.

Tasting Notes:

Aromas of smoky berry fruit, plums and rich soil tones introduce the 2018 Bourgogne Rouge Cuvée du Pinson, a medium to full-bodied, rich and lively wine with powdery structuring tannins and a sapid finish. Lots of strawberry and flower character with some earth and dried chili follow through to a medium body with a fresh palate and fine, firm tannins. Tight and focused.
